The metamorphosis of the Polish market is illustrated by the material changes in the best way: in the end of Eighties more than 90 per cent of windows produced in Poland were wooden goods. Today their market share doesn’t exceed 30 per cent. At the turn of the Eighties and Nineties several state concerns and some voivodship and district trade centres decided about its form. Three thousand companies supplemented by several thausands distributors nowadays deal with doors’ and windows’ production.

The top Polish producers of doors and windows belong to the European elite. The FAKRO Company from Nowy Sącz is the second in the world producer of roof windows. Drutex from Bytów is the biggest consumer of the Aluplast system. OKNOPLAST from Krakow is the biggest in Europe consumer of the VEKA system and Pomeranian PORTA is the European leader in interior doors’ production. The activity of Polish producers already now goes beyond the borders of our country. They export their own products not only to EU countries but also gain stronger and stronger position on markets of Russia, the United States and even Australia. The source of this success is constantly modified production processes, building higher and higher quality standards and efficient managing selling system and service of their own products. Polish Producers belong to the group of the most important partners of the distinguished international brands. The modern glass industry established thanks to them. Such companies as Pilkington, Guardian, Saint-Gobain invested in it.

Polish branch suppliers of PVC systems such as Aluplast, Veka, Rehau, Salamander, Deceuninck and the others are the most dynamic divisios of these companies in Europe.
